Brad Pitt Doesn’t Betray His Kids By Lying About Santa

Brad Pitt Doesn't Betray His Kids By Lying About Santa

Brad Pitt has made the entertainment news quite a bit this week as he’s hit the media circuit to promote his latest flick, Killing Them Softly. He has reflected on the past year which was spent mostly as a hands-on father while his fiance, Angelina Jolie brought home the bacon and he has divulged how he believes that their low key nuptials will happen pretty soon.  He was also recently asked about how his kids feel about this time of year and if Santa Claus is alive and well in their hearts. The actor told E! News that his kids may not buy into the notion of a fat guy in a red suit cramming himself down a chimney.

I’m not big on the whole Santa thing. I thought it was a huge act of betrayal when I was a kid.  I didn’t like that. When I found out the truth I was like why? Why? Why would you lie to me? Why?  What I tell them is that some people believe it’s Santa and some people believe it’s parents and you get to believe whatever you want.”

I wonder if Angie encourages  Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne to believe in Santa and the magic that he supposedly brings. I have a hard time imagining her really investing in such a notion. Angie doesn’t strike me as someone that would be taking an Elf from her shelf and hiding it all over the house to amuse her kids.

Do you encourage your kids to believe in Santa or do you think that a lie is a lie, even if it’s for something good? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!

Brad Pitt: Fatherhood Has Made Me a Better Man

It has been a wild year for Brad Pitt. He has 6 kids to juggle, a busy acting career and he finally is engaged to Angelina Jolie.

While promoting his most recent film, Killing Them Softly, he recently sat down to talk about what has been happening in his life and upon reflection he tells the latest issue of People Magazine that:

“It’s been a family type of year, a down-home type of year”

Angelina, or “mama” as he calls her, has worked more which means that he spent more time than usual on daddy-duty. It’s a job that the actor has come to really enjoy because it makes him be less selfish and focus on others.

Has fatherhood made him a better man?

“Absolutely,” Pitt says. Being a dad “takes you right off yourself.”

As for the much anticipated wedding, he said the couples main plan is to “Keep it simple. Keep it simple – really.”

Do you think he and Angie will ever really tie that knot? I suspect he is ready, but she seems to always find a reason to postpone exchanging those vows!

Also in the latest issue of People you’ll find all the details on that bloody Thanksgiving brawl at Halle Berry‘s house that left fiance, Olivier Martinez needing medical attention and baby-daddy, Gabriel Aubry holding a restraining order. All the ugliness stems from that dragged out custody battle over little Nahla. Halle requested that the court allow her to move to France with the girl and when her request was denied, Gabriel insists that she is now trying more drastic measures to cut him out of Nahla’s life.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt’s Six Children Write To Santa

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s children wrote Santa Claus early!

According to a source, Jolie along with her six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara,  Shiloh, and  twins Knox and Vivienne made a visit to the village of Littlebourne in Kent to send Santa their Christmas letters on Friday.

“It was so cute. All the children sent messages to Father Christmas and were absolutely beautifully behaved,” Littlebourne post office assistant Fiona Lindsay tells People. “Just like any other kids in a sweet shop they were excited, but Angelina controlled them perfectly.”

“The children bought a packet of sweets each, plus a few toys and some magazines, and we ended up having a general chat about how they all were and what they were going to eat that night,” she adds. “I suggested they pop over to the fish and chip shop across the road as it is a shame to come to England and not have some. I just hoped they liked them!   It was lovely. They were all very polite. They were just a bunch of gorgeous, happy kids.”

Staying in a converted barn in the nearby village of Ickham for a week long stay, the family kept a low profile while enjoying visits to nearby Howletts Wild Animal Park and Waterstones bookshop in Canterbury.

Pitt was also spotted taking Maddox to a screening of Skyfall at the Vue Cinema in Broadstairs.

The family are staying in Kent while Pitt films the final scenes for his upcoming thriller World War Z.

Angelina Jolie: Brad “Is More Lenient On The Girls, And I Am More Lenient On The Boys”

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt at the "In The Land Of Blood And Honey" premiere during the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival at the Grand Hyatt on February 11, 2012 in Berlin, Germany

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who raise six children together, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne admits she and Brad take on different role when it comes to raising their family.

In an interview with British magazine OK!, the actress admits Brad is lenient on their girls while she is more lienant on the boys.

“He is more lenient on the girls, and I am more lenient on the boys,” she explained.

“We can’t figure out why that is. Maybe it’s because I know women. It’s Freudian. I see them and I recognize them – I know what you are doing. So I think the girls will walk all over Daddy and he is going to love it!”

Despite the engaged couples busy careers they manage to co-ordinate their acting and charity work to ensure one of them is always with their children.

“When he [Brad] is shooting a film, I am not filming and I’m home and I’m just focusing on the kids and on occasion I take trips and do my UN work,” Jolie revealed. “Then when I’m working, he does the same.”

Jolie also reveals that family plans to travel during the holidays rather and she feels that is the best gift to give her children.

“I love to travel in the holidays, because I feel like I’d rather give the kids the gift of a new country than a box of presents. But I still give them some presents!” she laughed.

Jolie recently wrapped up filming her upcoming movie, Maleficent.

Brad Pitt Doesn’t Want To Embarrass His Six Kids

Brad Pitt Doesn’t Want To Embarrass His Six Kids

Brad Pitt might have more kids than a small civilization in the South Pacific, but the actor never backs down from placing his children and family ahead of his own career. In the October/November issue of Interview magazine, the actor opens up about what the future holds for his career and for his six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Pitt, engaged to super actor Angelina Jolie, wants to leave a legacy behind for his family and does not want to “embarrass them”. Don’t worry, we doubt you’ll be able to embarrass the most die-hard of families (Honey Boo Boo’s included).

He says about his future film roles, “I want it to be worthy of enough of a story to leave the family, you know? They’re everything. The family is first. I also don’t want to embarrass them.” The actor also opens up about the quality of people in his life, work and projects, “Even more, as I get older, it’s about the company that I keep. That’s the most important thing to me – that if I’m gonna spend however long it takes to make a movie, give up 14 hours a day for however many weeks or months, then it’s very important for me to know that I’m working with people who I respect and enjoy and that we’re going for something together. That’s it really.

There’s still no word on when Pitt and Jolie will be getting married, but many pundits have referred to the legalization of gay marriage as the deciding factor in the Pitt/Jolie engagement. Both actors are active supporters of the legalization of gay marriage and have said before that they will only get married once gay marriage is recognized in every state in America.

Until such time, we’re treated to the daily shenanigans of the Pitt/Jolie family and that adorable civilization they call “kids”.

Brad Pitt: Being A Parent Is Harder Than Doing Stunts

Brad Pitt at the "Killing Them Softly" Photocall during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals on May 22, 2012 in Cannes, France.

Brad Pitt who raise six children with fiancee Angelina Jolie insists he gets a lot more bruises being a hands-on father than he does doing stunts in action films.

When talking about the stunts he performs in his new film Killing Them Softly he said:

”Does it ache? Sure. The knees have gone, the back is crunchy.  ‘Getting the kids ready for school is every bit as painful as anything I had to do in this film,”

Pitt also reveals that he and Jolie haven’t set a date for their wedding yet, despite the pressure they are receiving from their children.

”We are going to do it. We haven’t set a date yet, though. We are getting a lot of pressure from our kids.  3′We could do it in the UK. It has been such an amazing summer here, with all your events – the Jubilee and the Olympics. I’ve watched everything,” he added.
