The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Has Been Torn
After so many years of believing his mother was dead, it is understandable that Kyle had a difficult time believing that she is alive! Kyle was as shocked and blindsided as his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was when he told her his mother wasn’t really buried in that grave so many years ago! Jack had explained that she had faked her death and that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) had helped her do so, with a corpse he replaced her body with.
The worst of all for Kyle, however, was trying to understand why his mother never reached out to him for all those years! Kyle has heard from others that his mother was a monster, and he can’t but help wonder if she still is.
The Young And The Restless Updates – Why Now, After All These Years?
Kyle is still trying to wrap his head around why she would want to meet with him now, considering her radio silence for all those years! He cannot understand what reason she would have to let him think she was dead for the most of his childhood and young adulthood. Kyle has the same questions that Jack does – why has she resurfaced now, and why did she play such cruel games? Who plays dead for years and years and then sends anonymous text messages to lure someone to find out she’s alive and to reveal his older brother is dead? Why did Diane involve Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) in this strange, strange, scenario and use a fictitious name?
The Meeting Is At The Abbott House
Diane had requested from Jack that she and Kyle meet at the Abbott house, possibly because Kyle might be more comfortable there. Kyle answers the door when she arrives, and invites her in but tells her she has a lot of explaining to do! He tells her the effects of her having faked her death on him and his life over the years; how that messed with him, his life, and his life choices.
Kyle is a big hot mess of conflicting emotions and questions, failing to understand why his mother did what she did, and he is very torn. His inner child wants to run into her arms and shout “Mommy!” while his outer man wants to run towards her and strangle her!
Y & R Spoilers: Diane Jenkins Explains To A Suspicious Kyle Abbott
As she did with Jack, Diane explains her reasons for doing what she did to a suspicious Kyle, who has a difficult time believing a word she says! Every year she played dead is like a year of lies to him, and he just tells her that her explanations sound like excuses to him. He repeats her litany back to her, acknowledging that what she’s telling him is she got scared, she ran, she got some therapy, and now expects forgiveness!
Kyle tells Diane her explanations don’t make up for the years of pain and confusion he experienced. She pleads for compassion and wants to prove herself to him – but he’s still dealing with the shock that she’s alive, and can’t give her an answer right now!
