Counting On fans love that Jill and Derick Dillard often share about the lives of their children, Israel and Sam. Soon, a third child will enter their lives, and TLC fans can’t wait to meet the little boy. The kids seem to learn a lot about nature and self-sufficiency, but their interests are not confined to reading, gardening, and exploring national parks. Israel, who just turned seven years old has other interests as well. On his birthday, his best-loved gift was a total hit.
Counting On – Israel Dillard Celebrates A Birthday
Jill Dillard posted a day or so after Israel celebrated his seventh birthday. Perhaps life is just very full right now as she expects baby number three. Plus, she and Derick raise cute little Samuel. He turned four last year and the kids on the block were thrilled when the Duggar family arranged for a real fire truck to drop by. Jill said that Israel enjoyed birthday greetings at school and later, the family celebrated by taking the kids go-karting for the first time. Jill told her TLC fans that plenty of presents arrived for Israel from various family members. But, he seemed particularly thrilled with one of them.
The Counting On kid grows up so fast, that some fans still think of Israel as a tiny tot. Actually, he did so well during Pre-K that he jumped to 1st grade last year. Certainly, it seems that Israel inherited the concept of hard work from his dad, Derick. Actually, in the past, Derick shared photos of his son watching intently as he studied for his law exams. Additionally, Jill and Derick often share clips and photos of him out with the boys at the schoolyard or the park. So, Israel seems to have also learned to love sports. Of you don’t know Derick was a good swimmer and an excellent basketballer when he was still a young man.
Counting On Alum Jill Shares Throwback Photos & Best-Loved Present
On April 7, Jill shared photos from Israel’s big day. Some throwback photos came along that was taken back when the couple still featured on the TLC show. Others showed Israel enjoying some go-cart fun. But, the main one revealed that he was delighted with one present. Jill captioned her photos with, “I’m a little late in posting this, but didn’t want to miss the opportunity to wish our basketball loving firstborn a very happy 7th birthday!🏀 Happy birthday Israel!! 💙”
The Counting On alum talked a bit more about the sport, saying, “He’s been spoiled with presents from family and was so excited to get his very own basketball + some favorite snacks & more! 😋” As you can see, it looked like their adopted pooch, Fenna wanted to join in on the game.

Counting On fans turned up to send in their birthday wishes for Israel. One of them said, “Happy 7th birthday Israel 🥰 I can’t believe he’s already 7 mama. Those pictures are so sweet and I bet he loved the go cart…”
