The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Billy Preserves Relationship With Victoria – Ashland’s Drama Not Over

The Young And The Restless: Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) never thought that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) would marry someone like Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). But fans saw the completion of the week-long-plus event in one of Y&R’s typically magnificent settings.

Major compliments are due for creating a compelling arc that began months ago, was not reasonably predictable, and resulted in the knot being tied. Victoria Newman Locke officially moved past Billy in her heart. Her commitment to Ashland means that she did so in the eyes of God, via the pastore, and legally.

However, Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) added drama while the ceremony was taking place. His smartphone should have been taken while he was held in Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) room. The lack of an orderly containment plan produced the ability for almost anyone to exploit Ashland’s secrets in the future.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Guilt-Tripping In Tuscany

Billy said that he wanted to expose Ashland’s backstory because doing so would make him look better in comparison to Burgi’s character. It did not happen as he planned, with Victoria already knowing all.

Ashland’s preemptive move was smart. He came clean, which fully undercut Billy’s ability to disrupt or even stop the wedding.

As viewers will see, Jesse’s forwarded video evidence will be deleted. Billy’s tell will be affirming to all who know that he does have Victoria’s best interests in mind. The co-head of ChanceCom will not publish Jesse’s information, even knowing that other outlets may do so.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Victoria Newman Locke Looks Forward

As has sometimes been lost within the volume of events, Ashland is in danger of losing his life in the near future. The terminal cancer diagnosis has not been reversed, meaning that this unavoidable problem will remain a prominent part of Vashland’s world.

Victoria wanted to marry Ashland because of their deep connection. She pressed for it to happen now because the amount of time he has to live can not be known.

Billy’s actions were disrespectful in several ways. But his lack of understanding for Ashland’s potentially imminent demise was reprehensible. Deleting the video may help the repair process to begin, as both parents will remain bound by their children’s connection.

Ashland Locke Still In Trouble

Ashland’s most serious concern is his health. He will not live long unless remission happens or a miracle cure is written into the script.

A lesser concern is the impact that Jesse’s video could have on the merged company, Newman-Locke. The public hit that the new entity would take could be blunted if Ashland disassociates himself.

However, the stress of the scandal would be detrimental to Ashland’s overall health. Thankfully the marriage happened, but drama persists, which makes for good soap on Y&R.
