Remembering the Summer Memories #KINDERmom
Summer is winding down with the end of August and the start of the new school year. This is when most parents reflect upon their summer with their kids and remember all the special memories they created. What special memories did your family make?
This summer, my family took a much needed vacation to the Lake George region of upstate New York. After a whole year of working hard on Celeb Baby Laundry, I needed two weeks to unwind and spend some quality time with my daughter, Ava, and husband. That’s why we chose to go back to cottage I vacationed at with my own family for 18 years. I love the rustic feeling and being right on the lake.
Without the distractions of the internet, I was able to enjoy a relaxing vacation without work. We spent time on the beach where Ava had a ball learning how build tunnels and castles in the sand. I also realized that my little three-year-old is a little fish (just as I was as a kid). We bought her puddle jumpers to help her swim in deep water and by the fourth day she was swimming all the way to the beach raft with mommy and daddy. I was a proud mom seeing how confident Ava was because she can hesitant when it comes to doing things outside of her comfort zone. Her excited giggles brought a smile to my face every time!
Like most families, the summer is over for us. Ava has officially started preschool at her school and we we’re also moving in the next couple of weeks. Right now, I have no time to think of the last days of warm weather! I have started packing and our house is slowly turning into a pile of boxes!

Looks like you had a great family vacation. Good luck with your upcoming move.
It looks like you had a great summer! Now I’m off to make my own strip! 🙂
What a fab vacation!
We rarely go and have a swim – kinda wonderful to look back at those memories again.
It sounds like you had an eventful summer! 🙂
Looks like you all have a fabulous time together. It’s been awhile since my last family vacation. We so need one soon!
What a cute idea. Kinder is nice to help people remember all the fun they had this summer!
Kinder surprise is widely available here in our country. My son loves this chocolate with surprise inside. I’m glad they have this kind of summer memories campaign.
It’s great to get away sometimes and just unwind. I had a similar vacation this summer it was extremely relaxing!
What a great summer you had! This is such a cool idea!
Get your floaties out for one last swim before the season is over!
What a great summer. This is a great way to preserve your memories, for sure!
That’s great that you went on a family vacation. It’s always nice to get away from work and unwind and have a great time with family.
I can’t believe it flew by so fast. Summer memories do linger as we get to step away from home more. Kindermom is a great idea and a sweet way to capture another set of memories.
It sounds like you guys had a blast. Back to school can be kind of a bummer, even for adults. I always miss my son when he goes back to school. Of course, then he does something annoying, and I don’t miss him quite so much. LOL.
Great summer memories keep kids going through the school year. Something to look back on and something to look forward too. Good luck with your move.
I love the idea of catching pictures on a film strip. We always make summer photo books. 🙂
Those are some really great summertime memories with the family.
having a vacation without any social media interference is a superb experience! i used to think that i won’t be able to go on a day without checking / posting on my socials but i was wrong because i enjoyed my trip a lot more
