Ashley had been reluctant to spend time with Tucker. Ashley had been shocked when she found out that Tucker had come back to Genoa City. Ashley had been surprised to find out that Tucker had been working with Diane. Ashley believed that Diane was a threat to her family. Ashley had been working with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to find a way to get Diane to leave Genoa City. Ashley hoped that Tucker could help her to get information on Diane that she could use to force Diane to leave town.
Tucker told Ashley that he would help her to get Diane to leave because he cared about her. Ashley has had trouble believing that Tucker has honorable intentions toward her. Ashley knows that Tucker has wanted to get information about Jabot. Tucker has informed Ashley that he does not want to take over Jabot but he wants to help her to build her own company. Tucker has told Ashley that he wants to have a future with her. Ashley is starting to want to explore a relationship with Tucker.
