The Young And The Restless Spoilers — Is Phyllis Summers Responsible?
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) crossed the line when she called Jeremy to give him Diane Jenkins’s (Susan Walters) location to Jeremy. It put the whole Abbott family at risk, something that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) can’t forgive.
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Phyllis doesn’t feel guilty for calling Jeremy. She believes she did the right thing by trying to run Diane out of town. She’s clearly tired of Diane’s lies and manipulation, so she does the only thing she knows would scare her. It’s not that she wanted to put her in harm’s way; she just wanted to end the cycle of lies.
The Young And The Restless Updates – This All Diane Jenkin’s Fault?
Diane, on the other hand, holds part of the responsibility. She knew that when Jeremy got out of prison, he would come looking for her. She knew he wouldn’t let her get away with his money without paying him back. Y&R spoilers state that Jeremy told Phyllis that even if she hadn’t called him, he would have found Diane. It wasn’t hard to find her, as she ran to her ex-husband and son’s home.
The problem is that Diane doesn’t feel any guilt for bringing Jeremy here. In her mind, she believes that Jeremy only found her because of Phyllis. That is not true. He would have found her eventually. Phyllis just sped up the process by hand-feeding him Diane’s exact location.
Jack, Kyle, and Summer think that Phyllis committed an act of betrayal by bringing Jeremy to Genoa City. They are obviously taking Diane’s side and see Phyllis as a bully.
Whatever happens next, Diane is ultimately responsible. She took this man’s money after she turned him in to the FBI. She likely ran to Genoa City after the money dwindled to nearly nothing. She didn’t come to town to reconnect with her family. She returned because she was out of options and scared of Jeremy’s wrath.
