Jeremy appeared to buy Jack’s ploy, pretending to be as impacted by Diane’s current duplicity as he is. But fans see a line from the million-dollar deal to further chaos.

But whether he intends a permanent solution for his Diane problem, Jeremy likely wants specific information that pertains to his shady business dealings that only Diane could know. So, he wants to force that out of her before deciding what, if anything, to do about her.
Jeremy Stark Seals Any Loose Ends
Jeremy may want to determine if Diane can put him behind bars again. If she does not, Walters’ character will be confirmed as no real threat.
Jack’s promised day-after-Christmas second-half payment leaves an opening for Jeremy to determine Diane’s location. If Hyde’s character does not learn where she is, he could also renege on his part of the bargain.
Of course, someone like Jeremy could take the million and still stick around GC or return someday on Y&R.
