The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Jack Believes He Is In Control – Phyllis And Diane Fight Underestimated
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) believes all is going well at Jabot. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is performing well in the public relations department, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has gotten off to a good start in the new home department.
Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) hire would seem to be a controversial move that will ignite Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) fury. But that conflict has yet to begin.
In the meantime, Phyllis unleashed her intended hit against Diane. Talia Morgan’s (Natalie Morales) first article dropped and stung. But then a mystery character texted Diane, taking credit for killing Talia’s intended series of smear stories.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Smearing Diane Jenkins In GC
Phyllis worked mostly with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to direct Talia to create a smear piece. As Diane said, the message of the first story, in what was intended as a series, was slanted.
The one-sided attack Talia facilitated was meant to degrade Diane. There is no way to know what was coming in the next installment or however many other articles were to follow.
Possibly, Diane would have been asked to tell her side. But the mystery character who saved her made that plot point moot or at least did so for now.
The Young And The Restless Updates – Phyllis Summers Is Fired?
Phyllis lied directly to Jack’s face. He asked her what role she played in the hit piece.
Her exasperated answer, claiming she had nothing to do with it, would seem to be cause for justified termination. If Jack opts to do so in the future, Phyllis will come to rue her actions and dishonesty.
But Phyllis feels fully justified. She believes the attempt to slam Diane will force her out of town. Phyllis believes she is protecting Jack, Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) from Walters’ character.
Jack Abbott Has A Limit
Jack is demonstrating extreme forgiveness in having both Diane and Phyllis on the payroll, considering what both ladies did to him. But he believes that both ladies are sincere in wanting to work with their children at Jabot.
Ironically, Phyllis is behaving like Diane used to. The misguided efforts of Stafford’s character seem destined to backfire on her.
Fans know Phyllis will not stop now that the Talia article series will not happen. But what comes next might hurry Phyllis’ fall rather than Diane’s.
