The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: What’s Wrong With Nick? Joshua Morrow Explains Change In Character

The Young And The Restless: Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that many viewers are wondering what’s happening with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). The character is going through some changes and is acting lost. To a certain extent, that is exactly how the character is being written right now. Morrow explains Nick’s problem and his search to find himself again.

Breakup with Phyllis Summers

Y&R spoilers reveal that Nick began his spiral after his breakup with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). It wasn’t the main cause of his change in character, but just one of the factors contributing to it. Then, Nick got into another major conflict with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). That wasn’t all, though.

Y&R Spoilers: Losing Victoria Newman-Locke

The biggest part of Nick feeling so lost right now is directly connected to his fallout with Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle). Nick considers Victoria to be his best friend and the person he could always turn to when he needed advice. Due to the issues with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), Nick and Victoria’s relationship is broken.

Nick Newman Lost And Confused

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Morrow discussed the storyline with Soap Opera Digest. The actor addressed fans wondering what happened to Nick and why he seems like he is wandering. Basically, Nick’s mind and emotions are a mess.

“Obviously, their split [with Phyllis] was tough on him and didn’t come at a great time. He broke up with this woman who he loves, and he doesn’t have Victoria, so he’s a mess right now and he’s searching… Nick is being written right now like he’s this wanderer and that’s new for him. He’s always been cocky and not afraid to take big swings, but he’s made a lot of mistakes and he’ll either figure it out or sink further.”
