The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Lily and Cane’s Ambitious Power Play Ignites Major Rivalry!

The Young and The Restless: Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn)

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Genoa City Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is set to cause major trouble by taking control of Chancellor and giving it to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

This will anger some powerful figures in Genoa City-Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) didn’t warn anyone about this transfer, and now there will be consequences.

Lily Ending Up With Chancellor Was A Surprise

It was surprising that Lily ended up with Chancellor; remember, she made a deal with Victor-if she and her twins pretended to be kidnapped to make Cane back off, she would get Chancellor.

If you think back further, Victor agreed to give Chancellor to Lily even before he kicked Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) out of the house.

Victor had been deceiving Nikki and the rest of the family about Chancellor before and after that.

The Newmans were sure they would regain Chancellor once they reclaimed Newman Enterprises from Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

They believed everything was returning.

Nikki Doubted She’d Ever Run Chancellor Again

But after Victor kicked Nikki out, she told Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) that she doubted she would ever run Chancellor again, even if they regained it.

At that time, Nikki and the Newmans thought it would still be under family control, and she assumed that due to her breakup with Victor, Nikki wouldn’t be in charge.

Last week, Victor called Lily to the new ranch, signed the documents, and handed Chancellor to her as promised.

Remember, she had asked Victor about it since he got Chancellor back first.

He delayed her, saying he couldn’t give it to her until he reclaimed Newman Enterprises because he needed it until then-Lily likely thought Victor would back out of the agreement.

Victor Still Didn’t Tell Everyone He’d Officially Transferred Ownership

After Victor officially transferred ownership to Lily, he still hadn’t informed everyone.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was present when Victor handed it over, and he was very upset, claiming it would devastate Nikki.

More importantly, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) had been managing Chancellor without knowing.

She discovered the news in the worst way when Lily bragged about it, saying, “I guess Victor didn’t tell you,” during the Shadow Room launch.

Victoria complained that she would confront her dad, insisting, “It can’t be true; Victor wouldn’t do this without telling me since I’ve been in charge.”

Victoria Had A Warning For Lily

She warned Lily, “Don’t get too comfortable. That company belongs to my mom,” and believed Victor would change his mind; Lily retorted, “Oh no, it’s a done deal.”

Victoria then boldly asked, “You would do that to my mother?”, and  Lily laughed and replied, “Do you know what your mother did to me?”

Nikki and Victor lied to Lily for months and betrayed her on Chancellor, even though she helped them buy it and was promised to run it.

Victoria then tried to offer her something else instead of Chancellor-Lily refused, saying she has big plans and told Victoria that Nikki can find something else to do.

She mentioned she’s facing a health crisis and doesn’t have time for this-it was amusing to see Lily say goodbye and walk away.

Lily Still Owns Chancellor But Put Cane In Charge

Victoria will confront Victor, but he probably won’t listen-however, he’ll pay attention when he finds out Lily gave Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn)  the job to run it.

This isn’t widely known yet, but it will be soon; Lily still owns it, but Victor will be angry that Cane is in charge.

Lily remains the owner, but Victor will be upset that Cane is in control, and if the documents are signed, Victor will have to go!

That will spur major conflict right there, since Victor wants to rid himself of Cane!

Adam Will Fall In With Victor

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will undoubtedly align himself with Victor’s opinions.

Additionally, Adam doesn’t have a personal stake in this matter-after all, Nikki isn’t his mother.

This situation leaves Nick feeling frustrated, while Victoria is furious; as for Nikki, it’s uncertain whether she will feel annoyed for a few reasons.

Firstly, she has abandoned her aspirations of managing Chancellor due to her estrangement from Victor.

Secondly, she is facing a looming health crisis-therefore, it’s likely that Victoria will express much more anger than her mother.

Major Backlash From Billy

Another major backlash is expected from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), an enemy of the Newmans.

He has always wanted Chancellor, especially since his mom, Jill Abbott (temporarily Lauren Koslow), sold it to Victor, who took it from Billy.

Lauren Koslow will return as Jill for five episodes of Young and the Restless in a few weeks, coinciding with July Sweeps, which may connect to the Chancellor storyline.

While Billy will likely be pleased that Victor no longer owns Chancellor, he might be upset that Lily does.

Cane And Lily Team Up To Stop Billy

If Billy asks Cane to hire him at Chancellor, Lily will likely put her foot down since Billy has been a huge jerk to her.

Their issues date back to when she was involved in the deal for Jill to sell to Victor.

If Cane is at Chancellor and Billy isn’t, we might see him complaining about it, likely to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Additionally, there’s a June spoiler indicating that Billy discovers important information that drives him to pursue something he really wants, while Cane and Lily team up to stop him.

If he finds out that Lily faked her kidnapping to trick Cane because Victor promised her Chancellor, he could use that against them, especially if Jill comes back and gets involved.
