Coronation Street Spoilers: Charlie de Melo Helps COVID-19 Patients, You Can Be A Hero TooCoronation Street spoilers reveal that actor Charlie de Melo (Imran Habeeb) was infected with COVID-19 last year. However, he didn’t even know he had the virus. He learned that his body had the antibodies out of curiosity. While waiting at the pharmacy for something else, he took the test and it was positive. Now, he is using those antibodies to help COVID-19 patients.

Asymptomatic COVID-19

Corrie spoilers reveal that some people get COVID-19 and are asymptomatic, meaning they don’t have any noticeable symptoms. Not realizing they are sick and contagious, it unknowingly gets passed on to others. This is why it’s important for people to take precautions, even if they are healthy.

Corrie Spoilers: Diagnosed By Curiosity

In a long Instagram post, de Melo explained to fans and followers that he took an antibody test while at the pharmacy. He was actually there for a completely different reason and never suspected he ever had COVID-19. While waiting, he was curious and took the test, which revealed he had the antibodies.

He was taken aback because he had no idea when he could have had it or how he contracted it. What he does know — and is thankful for — that he was diligent about wearing a mask and practicing other safety measures. So, he’s pretty confident that he didn’t infect someone else.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Be A Hero And Save Lives

The actor urged everyone to donate plasma if they had a positive COVID-19 test or antibody test. He explained that it is very easy, it doesn’t hurt, and it could save someone’s life. For extra incentive, he gave out a massive spoiler alert… those who donate can receive Kit Kats and squash. Now, who would be able to pass up those perks?

“If you’ve had a positive COVID or Antibody Test and you are able to donate blood, please do. You could well be saving somebody’s life. It’s easy, painless and the staff at Norfolk House in Manchester, where I donate, are absolute gems and will take very good care of you… Plus they give you Kit Kats and Squash and let’s be honest, you could do with a day out, eh? [sic]”
