Elsa Pataky Opens Up About Raising Her Children With Chris Hemsworth
Elsa Pataky has had plenty of roles in her life but if there’s one role that she loves the most, it’s being a mother to her three small children. The Hollywood actress, who is married to Chris Hemsworth, recently opened up about her personal life, balancing her work with her family and her life in Australia in a new interview.
Elsa and Chris tied the knot back in 2010 and share three children together: India Rose, Tristan, and Sasha. She says that she made the decision to lessen her workload in Hollywood so she can spend more time with them at home. Elsa knows just how important it is to be present as a mother, especially during those first few crucial years of a child’s life.
“I wanted to focus on my children because I had already worked a lot,” Elsa Told Hola! USA’s March issue. “My husband was starting his career; it was his moment, and I wanted him to take advantage to work more. We decided if we had children, I wanted to stay with them and enjoy them to the fullest – but it was my decision. It can be managed perfectly, as we see women do nowadays.”
Elsa also says that she wants to make sure that her children don’t grow up in a bubble meaning that they realize just how lucky they are to have one another.
“Above all, I try to teach my children to respect each other – to share – since they are lucky to have it all and are very privileged,” she goes on to tell the magazine. “I want them to value it and be generous with people who don’t have that luck.”
