TELUS Says Thank You to Loyal Customers in a Big Way #ActsOfCaring


It’s easy to feel like a number when dealing with companies in this day and age. You pay your monthly bill via online banking each month and often times only have real contact with someone when something goes wrong. That’s why I try to do business with companies who take the time to appreciate their loyal customers and communities. There is no better feeling as a customer to know that your business is being valued!


For TELUS, putting local communities and customers first is always a top priority. With the Grand Gestures Campaign, TELUS decided to say thank you to their loyal customers in a bigger way than ever! Instead of sending a simple text or call, they decided to make the biggest dreams of some of their loyal customers come true. 

How would you like to be recognized for one day? What would be your perfect thank you? I would love the simplest of things. As a mom, some days I feel like all I do is take care of my family. I often forget to take a moment to myself, so I would love a day where I’m pampered and spoiled! Relaxing with spa treatments while someone cleans my house top to bottom sounds divine to me.

In the Grand Gestures video, Ramona, a loyal customer of TELUS for over 20 years receives a big surprise! She has always loved aviation and has dreamed of riding on an aerial plane, so the company makes her dream finally come true. Not only does she get to ride on an ariel plane, but she even gets to fly it too! How cool is that?

TELUS is also showing customers they care with other acts of caring. The TELUS Care-a-Van team is rolling into a local community. This week in Guelph there will be a host of events and activities to specially thank local TELUS customers. The company will be going door to the homes of their top 100 customers to thank them personally with a care package and will also be hosting a free BBQ lunch for their top 1000 customers at the local TELUS store.

TELUS will also be donating $5 to the Guelph Children’s Foundation for every use of #actsofcaring via social media. Be sure to to Tweet out your favorite act of caring.  At this weekends celebration in Guelph, TELUS will be presenting a cheque to the Guelph Children’s Foundation in the amount of $5000 – in response to all the uses of #actsofcaring.
