Jillian Michael’s Expects Her Kids to Need Therapy

Jillian Michael's Expects Her Kids to Need TherapyJillian Michaels is one tough cookie when it comes to working with clients on The Biggest Loser. Her tough as nails approach is legendary and she can be super intimidating if you’re not prepared for how she carries herself. Jillian is also a stickler for schedules and routine. This is something that doesn’t always go hand in hand with having babies or toddlers. She’s learning first hand that everything can’t be 100% like it used to be and that now even she has to fit in workouts where she can- usually while mufti-tasking.

The celeb trainer told Fitness magazine about how letting her daughter learn how to do things herself has become very time consuming.

“It means you have to sit there for 20 minutes while she tries to put on a shirt. It kills me because I’ve got to go to work,” she explains. “[My partner] Heidi [Rhoades] gets mad at me: ‘How else is she going to learn how to put on her shirt?’ or ‘Don’t rush her, you’re rushing her!  It makes me crazy, so I’ll just sit on the floor of the closet checking emails while Lu tries to figure out how to put on her shirt,” she says. ”It’s brutal, but I’m really trying. I guarantee it’s going to be their number one issue in therapy.”

Jillian’s struggle to stay patient is hardly unique. I think all moms go through their own version of it. How have you learned to adapt your schedule to the slowness of little ones?  Do you find it easy to slow doen or do you have to fight not to just do everything yourself so that you can get onto the next thing?
