Beyonce Finally Ready to Talk About Her Miscarriage
The new year is off to a big start for Beyonce. She recently celebrated her daughter, Blue Ivy’s first birthday and will be headlining this weekend’s Super Bowl half time show. She also has an HBO documentary coming out called Life Is But a Dream. In it she shares some intimate details of the past few years of her life, including a miscarriage that she suffered two years ago. According to the singer,
“About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time. and I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life. I envisioned what my child would look like … I was feeling very maternal. Being pregnant was very much like falling in love. You are so open. You are so overjoyed.”
Unfortunately a follow up appointment revealed that there was no longer a heartbeat and Beyonce and Jay-Z lost the baby. She still considers it the saddest thing that has ever happened to her and she dealt with it by heading into the studio and writing the most heartbreaking song she could muster. That helped her to get some of the grief out and to be able to move on and attempt to have another baby. Obviously she was very fortunate and has spent the last year loving and nurturing Blue Ivy.
Supposedly Beyonce will be sharing a lot more personal details in her documentary which is set to air on Feb. 16. Will you be tuning in to hear about life, in Beyonce’s own words?
