  • Learning through travel is an important element of our adventures as a family. While visiting Thailand, we made sure to visit Kanchanaburi to learn about the famous Death Railway. During WW2, POW's were forced to build this railway under horrendous work and living conditions. It is said that over 100 000 people died during the construction. . These wooden trestles of Vampo Vaduct are the last surviving tracks of the original railway. We got to see first hand how high POW’s had to climb to build the track.
