Royal watchers recently saw a flurry of dramatic headlines that suggested there’s a right royal rift between King Charles and Prince William. Rather startling was the claim that they were attacking each other. Well, at least one royal commentator claims it’s all been sensationalized. Read on for more details.

The Hullabaloo

What’s going on? It seems very dramatic and across the media, anyone would think there’s a huge fallout and it all centers around, of all things, their Christmas plans. However, royal commentator Neil Sean argued a different take on it. In fact, he opined that sensational reporting distorted the truth. Notably, it seemed he meant Prince Harry and Meghan Markle benefit from  it.

In his Daily News Headlines vlog on YouTube on Sunday night, Sean reiterated that as far as he’s concerned, these stories came with some inaccuracies. So, he emphasized that the idea of conflict between “his majesty the king and Prince William being “at loggerheads” seemed very misleading.

Hype Over The Pond

Often, as he does, the royal pundit claimed that the hype originated stateside. Of course, any drama in the palace only seems to benefit Harry and his wife in far away Montecito. So, he added, “[It] serves the purpose of none other than the others, say across the pond.”

Next, Sean reminded folks that King Charles fights a health battle, and some days might be better than others. Not unnaturally, if he’s not having a good day, the King might very well end up being a bit “grumpy.”

Unfortunately, some people might take that grumpiness and see it as conflict. Prince William knows that his father deals with personal challenges. So probably, he realizes that everything isn’t going well all the time. So, in his opinion, the royal expert felt that any suggestion of “clashes” were simply misinterpreting the King’s health struggles.

Spending Christmas Together?

With the upcoming festive season, reports also suggested that King Charles and Prince William wouldn’t spend the Christmas holiday together. However, Sean believes that “all of the royals will be gathering for Christmas.”

Most people know that tradition never varies, and the family “all attend church together,” followed by the “big traditional Christmas lunch.” They also gather to “watch the king’s speech.” Therefore, the idea of them not spending Christmas Day together was “technically not true.”

Andrew Is Admittedly A Problem

Obviously, the media mentioned Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. After all, what to do with him in his fall from grace? And, differences of opinion between William and Charles seems to drive the story of a major fallout.

While Sean acknowledged William’s stance on Andrew’s removal from official duties, he dismissed any rumors of a major disagreement between the monarch and his son on it. Sean noted that “even his majesty the king has basically thought well we have to act we have to do something.”

After Lunch People Disperse

Getting back to the Christmas arrangements, the royal commentator noted that after the formal events and lunch, “people just disperse as most families do on Christmas day.” According to sources, it seems that Prince William and Catherine planned a short break.

So, Sean urged folks to take reports of stories about the “King and William at loggerheads [this] Christmas” with a pinch of salt. And, he reminded his viewers, “truly do not believe what you read.”

Then, he wrapped it up by saying that nothing really changed. He said that the events of the day are well-established for the royal family’s festive celebrations. And it’s all been “in place for many many years.”

Viewers React

Lots of followers who seem well-versed in the traditions of the royal family joined the conversation. One of them opined, “I think some people aren’t happy unless they’re stirring the pot of trouble…It seems the MSM thinks we’re dumb enough to believe their lies.”

Here are a few more responses from the discussion:

  • Thanks Neil for you telling us the real stories…so fed up of all the false news and stories about the royals can hardly bare to listen to anymore lies.
  • The media just wants to get eyes on their headlines. I appreciate King Charles and Prince William I do wish the King would remove the titles of the lying grifters in California.
  • Some of us parents are proud to see our kids for any part of the day. With families spread out today, there has to be give and take to most things.
