The TLC couple had the boy under his care as his mother Rachel Hutchins was unable to do so. Rachel is the daughter of Michelle’s sister Carolyn.

However, they’re not the only ones pursuing a lawyer. Carolyn and John are working with a high-power attorney. The couple is working to get full-time custody of Tyler. It’s unclear what led to this latest development.

“Comes now, Travis W. Story, Esq. Attorney at Law, and enters his appearance on behalf of John and Carol Hutchins in the above-captioned case,” the court document reads. “Robert A. Ballinger and Katie L. Freeman of Story Law Firm, PLLC, who are part of the same law firm as Travis, have been representing Jim Bob and Michelle.”

Counting On Spoilers: Jim Bob And Michelle Duggar Lose Custody

According to the Counting On spoilers, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar gave up custody of Tyler in June 2023. In the court documents, Carolyn and John argued they both had “physical control and custody” of Tyler from August 2015 to June 2016. Jim Bob and Michelle stepped in to become his temporary guardians.
