Jinger Duggar Breaks Silence on Emotional Struggles After Joseph Duggar’s Arrest
Jinger Duggar feels like her world has moved back to a moment in time that she would rather not relive again.
In March, Joseph Duggar was arrested for child molestation, and once again, the Duggars were flung back into the limelight for a crime that, if true, is so disgusting it bears not even thinking about.
Jinger Duggar Candidly Responds To Fan Who Asked the All-important Question: “Are You Okay?”
Jinger Duggar, who rose to fame starring alongside her family in the TLC reality show, ‘Counting On,’ recently took to Instagram for a Ask Me Anything session.
The April 29 Instagram Stories session comes after Joseph and his wife, Kendra, were arrested for child molestation and child endangerment, respectively.
“Are you okay? You look so disconnected in your podcasts. It’s ok to not be okay. I am sorry,” one fan asked.
Jinger reshared this quote on a picture of a cross, which stood below a scorching sun. Her answer was also written on the picture, where she went on to admit that all was not perfect, indeed.
“Thanks for asking. It’s been a heavy season that reopened old wounds,” the 32-year-old wrote, adding, “I wanted to talk about these things on the pod, and at the same time it’s honestly so hard to do.”
“I’ve been plugged in deep with my community here, not as active on socials, enjoying fun days with my little fam, and God is giving me help as I see brighter days ahead,” she concluded.
Jinger’s candid admission comes a month after she and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, addressed Joseph’s arrest on their podcast, Jinger & Jeremy.
“I did not think my heart could break like it has this week,” she said on the March 25 episode. “The pain and heartbreak that we’ve had over this and just thinking of how it’s affected so many — yeah, it’s just unthinkable. It’s so hard and painful on many levels.”
Addressing Joseph and Kendra Duggar’s double arrest, Jinger continued, “You can’t be prepared for news like this, even though we’ve experienced something very similar before, with one of my other siblings, who made unthinkable choices, decisions that have affected all of us.”
