Counting On fans love Jill for her bravery and for her many tips on parenting. Derick and Jill now have three boys, Israel, Samuel, and 11-month-old Freddy. While they no longer share the faces of their boys, it’s understandable now that Derick’s an attorney. Plus, they appeared in the Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets docuseries on Amazon. This week, the TLC alum revealed her pride in all three kids.
Counting On: Jill Dillard Shouts Out All Three Kids
Freddy is an adorable little boy, but TLC viewers only saw a few photos of his face before his mother Jill stopped showing him on social media. She chooses to protect her children by not publicly displaying their faces. Her sister Jinger started this trend after the birth of her second child. There are some unsavory people in the world, so it’s not a bad idea to ensure the kids’ safety by keeping them off social media. In the past five months, she shared pictures of Derrick with Freddy twice, and both times showed them in the same place and doing the same thing.
The newest member of the Counting On family joined Isreal and Sam in learning to swim. At the time, he was just six months old. Of course, Sam and Israel started way before that, so they are ahead of him in swimming class. Back in January, Jill said that she felt so proud of her son Sam because he managed to swim very strongly and cross the pool unaided. Mind you, the instructor was on hand in case something went wrong. This week, she proudly revealed that all three boys are doing well in the swimming pool.
Counting On: Jill Dillard Posts About The Kids Swimming
On June 14, the daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar put aside thoughts of the Amazon docuseries and her upcoming book, “Counting The Cost,” and went to take some photos of the boys swimming. Derick went in the water with baby Freddy, and in her caption, she said, “Freddy is now happily splashing his way through his swim lesssons! 🤗 🏊🏼♂️.”
As for Sam and Israel, the Counting On, alum wrote, “Both our big boys have promoted to new levels.” In the photos, Sam held up a card that showed he had gone from Glider 1 to Glider 2. Meanwhile, Israel went from Pro 2 to Swim Forcer. She added, “We love seeing how their water confidence has improved so much this last year in lessons + it’s so relieving to know they have learned such valuable water safety skills!”
Proud Of Her Boys
The fan-favorite of Counting On viewers also wrote, “🐟So proud of our little…swimmers! 🧡”
TLC fans agreed that getting the kids to swim is very important. After all, way too many children drown every year.
One of them wrote, “The best thing parents can do is teach their children to swim. It’s a life sport.”
Another one said, “Swimming lessons are so important! I’m glad they’re doing well. I bet they’re going to be showing off their cool new skills at the pool all summer!”
