The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Phyllis Is A Changed Woman — Or Is She?

The Young And The Restless: Phyllis (Michelle Stafford)

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease the return of Phyllis Summers to Genoa City and she is ready to take on life again.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Wants To Be Diane’s Friend

After Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) essentially dumped her when they’d only been official again for about a week, a dejected Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) left town to visit her son, Daniel Romalotti, and clear her head. She knew she had let her own fears of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) get the best of her and that her behavior had gotten out of hand.

Phyllis has worked very hard on turning her life and her attitude around and thought she’d managed to finally mature, being that she is a grandmother. But those old feelings she had about Diane popped right up again the second she saw her and she couldn’t help herself. She had to resume their Jack competition no matter what the cost.

While with her son, she seemed to realize that she needed to put the past firmly behind her and be an adult Jack will love, so she goes about doing just that this week.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Can Phyllis Be Believed?

Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) has been getting to know her newfound, back-from-the-dead mother-in-law while her own mother has been away and she finds that she likes Diane. She doesn’t understand why Phyllis has such a problem with her but also doesn’t know if she can believe Phyllis when she announces she is ready to let bygones be bygones.

To that end, Summer tells Phyllis to prove it, so she does. She and Diane sit down at Chancellor Park and Phyllis actually apologizes to Diane and proposes they get along for Summer and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) sake. Diane agrees and happily tells Jack, but he is not so sure he can believe that Red is for real.

However, Red is ready to show him that she does and texts Jack to meet her. Jack isn’t so sure because he is not ready to get hurt again so soon, but he agrees and figures he will give her a few minutes to make her case. After all, he should be fair, right? Will Phyllis manage to convince him that she truly has changed this time and will Jack take her back? Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see how this story plays out.
