Li Finnegan’s medical practice specialty has not yet been totally revealed to viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful, but it was revealed in Soap Opera Digest recently that Li is a surgeon. In Naomi Matsuda’s interview, she described her new character as having been a busy surgeon who had not thought of having children until later in life. However, onscreen in a recent episode of The Bold and The Beautiful, Finn told Steffy that Jack and Li were the only parents he had ever known when he was adopted. That implied that he was adopted as a baby or at the very least a toddler too young to remember his birth parents. Therefore, Li and Sheila could have met at work. Or, Sheila could have given birth to baby Finn in Li’s hospital and it could be a doctor-patient relationship of sorts.

Sheila has been in and out of psych wards for over thirty years between the two shows! She perpetrated a baby swap in the 1990s on Lauren Fenmore, now Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. There is a good reason that Jack and Li, and especially Jack, has been wary of Sheila, and a reason Finn has been kept in the dark growing up. There was a reason Jack was so suspicious of a veiled Pam Douglas (Alley Mills) when she showed up at the Forrester mansion for Finn and Steffy’s wedding! Viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall Jack tried to stop her, saying, “It’s YOU—It’s YOU, isn’t it!” Pam took the “greeting” in good humor, saying yes, she was her and revealed herself. Jack was relieved!
Might Jack Finnegan Be His Son’s Birth Father?
This recent scene with Pam on the Bold and The Beautiful showed that Jack had definitely tangled with Sheila in the past, and possibly several times! Another scenario could be that Jack tangled with Sheila in the bedsheets before meeting Li and he actually is Finn’s birth father.
