The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) has openly stated she intends to live in Genoa City, Wisconsin. She wants her son and his now confirmed father, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), to bond.
Summer Newman (Hunter King) decided that her wedding to Kyle should be postponed until Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) custody issues are resolved. That stance can be offered as proof Summer is Kyle’s best choice for his romantic present and future.
However, anti-Summer fans are likely happy that Y&R invented Leiner’s character because Tara has become a true threat to Skyle’s future, assuming one still exists.

Kyle didn’t postpone the wedding, his fiance did. But it’s not that Summer is doubting Kyle’s commitment to her. However, she is concerned about the uncertainty of many tomorrows.
Any guy would be thrown when learning that Harrison was his child. The fact that Kyle was forcibly fed that knowledge by Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) turned a normal shock into a purposely cruel intel drop.
Summer has been and remains the woman Kyle wants to marry. He intends for Summer to become Harrison’s stepmother and for Skyle to have their own children. Those are Kyle’s true feelings as of now.
Tara Locke Represents A Connection
Was the time in New York with Tara just a momentary connection? No, as she gave birth to Harrison, which binds Kyle and Tara together forever.
However, the attraction both people had to each other didn’t endure. She could have left Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), but chose not to. And Kyle hasn’t indicated that Tara was one of the loves of his life.
Yet, Harrison might be the reason Tara and Kyle explore what was a temporary bond. He could be the basis for a relationship developing into eventual marriage. But current realities leave Tara uncountable miles behind who Summer is in Kyle’s life.
The Young And The Restless Updates – Summer Newman Has Importance
Kola’s ending was revealing. Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) sensed that Kyle wasn’t as in love with her as he was with Summer. Kyle eventually acknowledges that hidden plot point. That served to revive Skyle and actually produce its strongest version to date.
Tara doesn’t compete with Summer when it comes to longevity. But Summer isn’t a mother to Kyle’s biological child or children yet. So, history, current feelings, and the future will combine as a potential rivalry develops on Y&R.
