The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Kyle now knowing for sure he has a son. Now, he has to decide what to do about it.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – A New Role For Kyle Abbott
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is still waiting impatiently for the paternity test news when Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) shows up at the Abbott house. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) tipped him off that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) was there with Harrison and he wants to visit with the boy.
Since Ashland doesn’t know about the DNA tests yet and Harrison thinks of Ashland as his dad, Kyle doesn’t argue and lets the boy and his alleged father spend some time together. But then the DNA test results arrive and prove that Kyle is indeed Harrison’s father. (At least for now — this is a soap opera after all.)
The Young And The Restless Updates – What Will Kyle Abbott Do Now?
Kyle has to now process this. He has believed Harrison was his son for months but he and Tara had agreed not to disrupt the boy’s life and never tell him. So, Kyle had resolved himself never to know his son and was ready to leave it that way.
Now he has a chance to be a father because Tara needed him to take this paternity test so Ashland wouldn’t try to take Harrison away from her. Kyle has this whole new outlook on life because he’s been given this opportunity he never expected.
He also now has the opportunity to gloat to Ashland. He didn’t tell him the truth when he was visiting with Harrison later, but now that he has the DNA test results in hand he can’t wait to tell this man he had been deathly afraid of until now.
Ashland is actually shocked to hear this cause he never suspected that he was not the father of this boy he’s loved since birth. While Kyle is on cloud nine, Ashland feels like he’s been stuck in the gut and has to absorb this all while in disbelief. Will he still try to sue for custody since he is still Harrison’s legal father? That would certainly put a twist on things.
