The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) has every right to be angry. He’s just learned that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) has betrayed his trust far beyond what he thought was possible.
Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) brandishing of the paternity test results led to his pronouncement that Ashland wasn’t Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) father. However, the claim that Mealor’s character is the boy’s other blood parent is rejected by Ashland out of hand.

Ashland is upset. Kyle is offering a fierce paternal response. Both guys are standing their ground, while Tara is at the center of this storm.
While Kyle and Tara were equally wrong to cavort in New York during the later part of the last decade, Leiner’s character is the one who broke her vows. That free will choice created today’s problem.
No matter what attraction both people felt, it was Tara’s responsibility to reject Kyle or to not pursue him. Each half of this brief couple appears to indicate that the attraction was mutual. But Tara, not Kyle, allowed Ashland to believe that he was Harrison’s father.
Kyle Abbott Holding Three Hot Plates
Kyle’s engagement to Summer Newman (Hunter King) has been disrupted by current developments. Having one’s fiance feeling vulnerable would be enough all on its own and represents the first hot plate.
Tara continues to ingratiate herself more deeply into Kyle’s life, which is the second hot plate. Tara needs to use him as a shield. But it could be that she’s also building a bridge into the Abbott mansion in order to establish a relationship with Harrison’s revealed father.
The fact that Tara’s husband is a notorious revenge artist, gives Kyle a third hot plate to hold. There is no managing Ashland, which is why Kyle is showing strength, as that’s what Burgi’s character understands.
Young And The Restless Updates – Ashland Locke Has His Own Test?
Ashland won’t stand for Tara’s claim or Kyle’s enveloped claim. So, it would seem likely that Ashland will seek his own result.
That effort should provide an answer. While it’s plausible to think that Tara, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), or even Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) could have manipulated the results of Kyle’s test, it would be too much for the audience to digest if any from that trio rigs a test Ashland would have conducted.
So, a definitive paternity test, either confirming Kyle’s paperwork or putting it into question, should be the next important flashpoint within this storyline.
