Bridgerton Updates – What About The Bridgerton Series?
As for the main Bridgerton series, it will continue with Jess Brownell being named the showrunner for both seasons 3 and 4.
Brownell will be taking over from Chris Van Dusen, who was the creator and executive producer for the first two seasons.
“As we continue to expand the world of ‘Bridgerton,’ we now have the opportunity to devote even more of the Shondaland fold to the Bridgerton-verse,” Rhimes said. “We’ve worked with Jess Brownell for over a decade and have long wanted to find the right project to place in her hands. When it came time to pass the baton, I knew this unique voice was vital to the future of the show.”
The Netflix original show Bridgerton is based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling series of novels set in the regency era. With the competition of 19th-century London’s lavish high society, eight close-knit siblings from the powerful Bridgerton family navigate challenges as they search for romance, adventure, Brid and love.
The Young Queen Charlotte-focused spin-off is currently without a name and Shonda Rimes will write the spin-off which is being billed as a limited series.
