Mila Kunis Opens Up About Her Pregnancy
After months of silence, Mila Kunis has opened up about her pregnancy for the first time.
Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, the Jupiter Ascending actress confirmed she is pregnant.
“I did,” Kunis told when Ellen asked if she hid that she was expecting her first child with fiance Ashton Kutcher. “We were actually able to hide it for a very long time. I know. It’s amazing.”
Although, Kunis wasn’t willing to reveal due date and the gender of her baby.
“Some time this year. I promise you,” she teased. “It will be this year.”
When it comes to cravings, the Ukrainian born actress is going back to her roots.
“I’m very stereotypical. I eat sauerkraut all day long. Here’s the truth,” she told. “This is the worst craving to have because sauerkraut smells and so every time you open up a jar it just reeks in the whole kitchen…It’s not like ice cream where everything smells lovely.”
Kutcher is also egging on her cravings.
“Yes. But he kid of preempted this,” the mom-to-be explained. “He assumed that I was gonna have goofy cravings, so he stocked our secondary fridge with weird food. Just like pickles, and sauerkraut, or like anchovies, and ice creams, just in case at one point during this pregnancy I’d be like, ‘I really want something.’ And it happened last week. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I need a pickle!’ It was just the weirdest thing, like I needed this pickle. And he was like, ‘Hold on a second,’ and disappeared in the backyard and came back with the most amazing dill pickle of all time.”
Meanwhile, Kunis wants her pregnancy to be as natural as possible and has a midwife to help her with the birthing process.
“We watched a couple of documentaries and we looked into the…midwife aspect of it and things, and spoke to my OB/GYN and realized that the hospital that I’m going to be laboring in does a midwife, you know, doula type of thing,” she explained. “So I’m gonna do it as all-natural as I possibly can unless there’s an emergency or something.”
