Happy Easter! How We Celebrated Our Baby’s First Easter!

Happy Easter! How We Celebrated Our Baby’s First Easter!

I can’t believe it is the end of March already and tomorrow will be April! Time is sure flying by!

This year is our baby’s first Easter so we had to make it special with his very first Easter basket. Since he will be eating solids soon, we got him some bowls, spoons, a sippy cup and the Happy Family, Happy Bellies Brown Rice cereal. I like rice a lot so I’m hoping the little guy likes it too! We also made a basket for our two little dogs filled with their favorite treats! They’ve been sniffing the table all week waiting for me to open the treats.

Do you guys make Easter baskets for your little ones? If so, what do you put in it? I love hearing all the creative Easter basket ideas.  Anyone decorating Easter eggs? We’ve decided not to decorate eggs this year since he’s a little too small and we had a busy week. I saw on Pinterest how to make natural dyes for the eggs so I think I might try that next year. I’m pretty excited!

We just came back from our mini road trip to Monterey, California so we are definitely taking it easy today.  If you are ever in Northern California, I highly recommend the Monterey Aquarium. Monterey is an amazing place and if you can, try to go to the aquarium before the end of 2013 because they have an AMAZING sea horse exhibit.  It is an incredibly beautiful place and even though our son is a little shy of five months, he loved it. His favorites were the brightly colored fishes, penguins, sea otters and jelly fish.  My next post will have pictures of our mini vacay and it will for sure make you want to pack your bags and go!

Well, back to today, we are spending our Sunday morning playing on the playmat, reading finding Nemo and doing some tummy time.  Later in the day, we are going to my husband’s family’s house for lunch and then coming home for more family time. I love family Sunday Fundays!

I hope you and your little ones are having a great Sunday Funday making great memories! Happy Easter everyone!
