  • We just published another Vlog 📽 from our time in Japan! In this video, we visit Kiyomizu-Dera and the Higashiyama district in Kyoto. . Meaning pure water, Kiyomizu-Dera is not only one of the most popular attractions in Kyoto, but all of Japan. One of the iconic images of the temple is that of its wooden stage that protrudes from its main hall. It is said that people used to attempt the jump down below and those who survived the fall were then blessed with good luck. I can see people surviving the fall, but I'm less than certain that the probably permanent consequences were worth any of the good luck gained! . I especially loved the traditional Japanese street leading down from the temple. It's looks like it's right out of a storybook! Ava loved sampling the sweet Japanese desserts before doing some Hello Kitty at a shop on the way down. . While traveling we have leaned that twins spark the curiosity of all cultures! 👭 Ella & Rose are truly picture and conversation magnets on our travels. After the mandatory picture, we are usually asked if they're identical and how do we tell them apart. It's kinda a funny question because to us they don't look alike. I think ever twin parent feels this way? 💁‍♀️ Also, twins may look alike, but they're different people with very different personalities.
