The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon and Chelsea To The Rescue – Matt’s Plan Derailed

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) were increasingly worried. The most recent conversation they had at Crimson Lights led to both ladies jetting to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was determined to get Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). But Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) wasn’t going to let his older brother handle that problem alone, so he went along as backup.

As viewers know, Matt kidnapped Nick after sensing something was off with Riza Thompson’s (Tina Casciani) preferred client, Spider, who is Adam. Nick didn’t allow Adam to meet Matt, going in his place instead, and was abducted.

Matt Clark Set Free In Genoa City, Wisconsin

It’s hard to imagine that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) didn’t have multiple eyes on Matt as soon as he left the grip of the so-called justice system in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Although the Moustache has been distracted by the loss of his business and separation from his wife.

Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) theft of Newman Enterprises has Victor totally off his game. That alone plausibly makes his not being hands-on with Matt digestible.

However, Victor clearly could have had his security team follow Matt to wherever he went. That is a debatable part of this storyline, but also one that allows it to play on for all viewers who are suspending disbelief.

Adam Newman Is Effectively Neutralized

Adam became Spider again, which was no small feat as Nick kept reiterating. Yet, that didn’t cause Adam to be neutralized.

Instead, Matt’s use of Riza drew Adam to her and away from Nick. The audience was as surprised as Morrow’s character to see Adam kissing Riza as part of his efforts to fool her into believing he’s back in the gambling game because of his family’s loss of Newman Enterprises.

Matt’s ability to intimidate Riza and have Nick come to him was masterful. He’s as creatively devious as ever and stands to torture Nick until the GC ladies aid his rescue.

Sharon Newman And Chelsea Lawson Take Charge

There have been many storylines were Nick rescued Sharon and Chelsea. Adam has also served as the savior in various instances.

So, it’s believable that Case’s and Egan’s characters would be concerned about Nick’s and Adam’s lack of timely replies to their digital inquiries. Having them fly to Vegas signals a crescendo in this tale.

Here’s hoping that the momentum shifts to Sharon, Chelsea, Adam, and Riza teaming to stop Matt. Nick has to be saved, and Howarth’s diabolical characters need to face some form of permanent justice. That would be a fitting wrap for Matt, who has tormented the Newman family for decades.
