Years ago, former Prince Andrew was seen as a dashing naval officer and a hero of the Falklands War. However, years of scandal and bizarre reports about his private life changed that image forever. Still, fascination arrived about rumors of his paternity, not to mention Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor being known for some strange habits that persisted into adulthood. Read on to find out more.

The Teddy Bear Attachment

While it’s not unusual for adults to treasure their childhood toys, Andrew seemed overly possessive about stuffed toys. According to former royal protection officer Paul Page, the former prince owned dozens of “stuffed bears.” And, he kept them displayed in his sleeping quarters at Buckingham Palace rather like you would if you owned a toy store.

In his interview for the 2022 ITV production, Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile, Page claimed that the staff actually had “specialized training” regarding toy arranging.

The favorite bears sat in certian places on the bed, while the others had designated spots. Allegedly, if the arrangement was off by even an inch, former Prince Andrew reportedly became irate.

The James Bond Fantasy

Most young boys dream of being James Bond. And, that also seems normal. However, per Radar Online, he never grew out of his 007 obsession. In fact, they reported that allegedly, if Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor flees the UK for an Arabian refuge, he might even take on the title of “Commander.” As a child, he famously owned a miniature Aston Martin. Notably, it wasn’t just another toy, as it featured “toy machine guns” and a smoke screen effect.

Allegedly, the fascination followed him well into his adult years. For a long time, he used the theme song from the FOX spy show, 24 as his mobile ringtone. While most folks his age focused on official duties, his inner circle suggested that he enjoyed playing at being a fictional secret agent. Actually, it suggests a mindboggling sort of fun side to his rather unusal personality.

Viewers React

When The Independent shared a video about his Teddy bear collection, many people seemed a bit taken aback. Although it aired four years ago, it still seems relevant today as the Epstein scandal keeps coming for the royal family. One viewer wrote:

The narcissist who never grew up, now for the first time forced to answer for his actions like an adult. To think he would attend public events looking ever so serious, in his uniform covered in medals. Yet he cannot deal with his teddy bears going in a different order than he wants them. Mind blowing.

Here are a few more responses from the discussion:

  • I don’t have any pity for Andrew. He’s lucky that he is not in general population in a max prison, like the rest of the Cho-Mo’s? Like the rest of us would have been! The idea that someones birth-right gives them an advantage is bonkers!
  • He came across as the most entitled, out of touch and elitist prat going in that BBC interview with Emily Maitlis.
  • You’re freaking kidding me. So thankful my ancestors decided they didn’t want to be governed by the likes of that!!
