The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Matt Lies About Nick’s Death – Adam 2nd Kidnapping Victim

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is a low-down, dirty snake. That makes Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) decision to go with him foolish.

Matt told Riza Thompson (Tina Casciani) that he didn’t believe her. That led to Spider’s handler taking him to Adam’s suite. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was there and lambasted Matt.

But one of Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) multiple tormentors across these past three-plus decades didn’t care. He went to Adam’s suite to draw his second victim into a trap, and it worked.

Nick Newman Didn’t Overdose

Matt feigned grief and pretended to choke up. Then he told Adam that Nick had overdosed the day before.

Adam was incredulous and wanted Matt to take him to see his brother’s supposed corpse. Of course, fans knew that Nick wasn’t dead but that Matt was holding him hostage.

Why Grossman’s character couldn’t foresee the setup and that he would join his older brother, as Matt’s second kidnapping victim, was a bit soapy. However, fans can see what’s developing.

Possibly, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) arrives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Matt’s estranged wife, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun). Then, he became the third piece of Matt’s grudge puzzle.

Matt Clark’s Grudge Puzzle Forms

It’s obvious what Matt’s doing. He’s targeting all the guys he hates for various reasons.

Nick was an obvious number one choice based on their history back to the mid 1990s. So, he was targeted as a drug taker, and Matt’s henchmen supplied him well.

Adam became the easy second mark because of his connection with Riza. He was also a threat to what Matt wants to accomplish with Nick and had to be taken.

Noah is the much younger man, as Matt described him, who cheated with Sienna. It’s okay for him to have been involved with Riza and however many other women he had on the side while married to his wife, but Sienna breaking their vows had to result in her new love being punished.

Sharon Newman And Sienna Bacall Are Needed

Teaming a trio of Sharon, Chelsea, and Sienna makes total sense. Sharon knows Matt better than anyone, with his brutal attack never truly resulting in lasting justice through the legal system.

Chelsea told Matt she wanted to spit in his face when meeting him in Las Vegas. Learning that he took Adam will inspire all the motivation she needs to rescue him and punish Matt.

Sienna was wronged by Matt in many ways. Assuming Noah becomes his third kidnapping victim, or even if he doesn’t gain that dubious distinction, she wants to end the threat he represents.

Having Sharon, Chelsea, and Sienna play heroes in Vegas and put an end to Matt’s games forever would be a fitting daytime climax to this tightening storyline.
