PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie was in the works for a while and suffered a slew of setbacks. Well, everyone has been waiting for the animated movie to drop a trailer. And it seems that the arrival of a teaser came earlier than expected. Read on to find out more.
Folks Wondered About The Trailer Date
On Reddit, an OP on the r/PAWPatrol sub raised the question of when a trailer might arrive. They wrote:
The Super Bowl is officially over, and we sadly got no Dino Movie trailer. With 5 months to go until the third Paw Patrol movie releases, when do you think we’ll get the trailer? The Mighty Movie’s trailer released in June, 3 months before the movie released, so I’m thinking a potential trailer release date of April or May?
In the comments section, plenty of people thought it might come sooner than May because “most new movie trailers always release 6 months before the movie’s release.”
Those who thought the movie wouldn’t keep the attention of fans for long argued that a later day was more likely. Well, the argument’s over now, because the teaser trailer dropped on Monday night on @moviefone.
When Will The Premiere Happen?
The movie actually arrives in mid August this year. Why was it delayed? According to multiple sources, initially, PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie was expected to launch at the end of July. Notably, the changes to the premiere came because of competition from other big films like Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Minions 3.
A brief hiatus arrived when Technicolor shut down in early 2025. However, the animation work continued after Rodeo FX took over. So, that’s not the reason for the delayed premiere. Rather, it was about timing at the box office.
Now the teaser trailer arrived, might it be worth the wait? Actually, it looks very cute, and likely gets the attention of families this summer. And, it’s timed nicely for family activities as the summer break nears its end on August 14.
The Synopsis
It’s a simple but easy plot for the young at heart to follow. In the movie, the Paw Patrol pups end up on a mysterious tropical island. Notably, it happens to have tons of dinosaurs there. Soon, they discover a pup named Rex, stranded there for ages.
When Mayor Humdinger starts mining and accidentally triggers a volcano, the PAW Patrol faces their biggest rescue mission ever. They have to stop him before everyone and everything ends up blown to smithereens.
As the teaser trailer’s still so new, no comments arrived yet. However, it certainly seems to bring all the charm that folks love.
