King Charles Bizarre New Christmas Rules Revealed

King Charles this Christmas via Locked Secrets - YouTube

King Charles seems to be very different from his late mom, Queen Elizabeth, and that extends to his Christmas arrangements. Of course, the royal family sits in the spotlight because they traditionally take a walk to church, and they do annual speeches and more that royal family fans love. But this year, something very different arose. Read on for more details.

Changing Traditions

Until now, everything Christmassy went along the usual lines. Princess Catherine had her annual concert. It was a great success, of course. Plus, she and Prince William shared their Christmas card. Well Charles was a bit different and he opened up about his cancer treatment and gave the public advice on early screening.

However, the latest news about King Charles is also about Christmas. But he’s the boss, and he wants something completely different. On Tuesday on Sky News Australia, writer and broadcaster Kel Richards described the rather bizarre rules for 2025.

Bizarre Rules

He told the panel that Charles wants the not-too-senior members of the family to sleep in the servants’ quarters. No doubt, they won’t totally slum it, but still, royal family watchers might wonder why. Then, when it comes to gifts, Kel said, “They set up a trestle table and they exchange gifts, but they have to be very cheap, silly, jokey gifts.”

Then the panel laughed about Princess Anne giving Charles a toilet seat. However, more followed, and it seems that the meals might differ from tradition as well. Kel claimed that King Charles “has banned certain foods.” Plus, when it comes to gift giving, the “very strict rules” insist that the lower order – probably the kids, “get their gifts last. And William is said to be unhappy about this.”

Viewers React

As you can imagine, many people who watched the video wanted to say something about it. One of them joked, “Rules: wish everyone a Happy X-Mas, no smooching your cousin under the mistletoe and no leaving Santa cookies & milk. Only kale chips and almond soy milk.”

Here are a few more responses from the discussion:

  • The most useless king in history. An international disgrace.
  • This is getting ridiculous. Tradition is part of Royal charm. A little modernity fine but not too much.
  • We all know King Charles is an idiot and a weak king. I see him as a worm.
  • The whole cheap silly gift is a Christmas denial…sleeping in the servants’ quarters may be a penance…
  • If I was God looking down upon humanity I would simply nuke the planet!
