Drake White & Wife Alex Mourn Their Baby Girl

Country music singer Drake White and his wife, Alex Mize White, mourn the loss of their baby girl, Della Elizabeth. The baby arrived in late August but passed away shortly thereafter. On social media this weekend, they jointly shared their grief and how they are coping right now.

The Sad News 

The loss of a baby must feel like the end for the world, and for Drake and his wife, Alex, it seems that they relied strongly on their faith to get through this terrible time. On their joint Instagram accounts this weekend, they shared a Psalm from the bible and a heartbreaking photo.

The bible text read:

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. -Psalm 34:18.

In the caption, country music fans saw that Drake White and Alex welcomed their little girl “on Sunday, August 31st, 2025 at 8:52 AM.” But sadly, she died at “9:12 AM.”

Their baby weighed just “3 lbs 3.5 oz” and arrived prematurely at “29 weeks” into the pregnancy.

How Are They Coping?

Of course, it must be terribly hard to express the grief of a lost child, but Alex and Drake focused on their faith. The caption explained, “We are heartbroken and soul tired, but we know we will get through this difficult time with the strength, peace, and joy that only our Heavenly Father can provide.”

But it was another quote from the bible that seemed likely to describe the devastating loss. It said, “I am dying from my grief; my years are shortened by sadness. Misery has drained my strength; I am wasting away from within. But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, ‘You are my God!'”

Still, the couple believe that baby Della Elizabeth went to be “in the arms of Jesus,” and that one day they will see their infant again.

Coping isn’t easy, but they assured their country music fans, “The Lord has been so near and close to us during this difficult time. He has held us up and sustained us through it all.”

Singer, Lauren Alaina appeared in the comments. She welcomed her own baby recently. She wrote, “My heart aches for you. Sending so much love and prayer your way.”

Meanwhile, RaeLynn also commented, by writing, “I am so sorry. Praying for you 3…Jesus is near the broken-hearted! Cover them, Jesus.”
