Jax Taylor honors son Cruz on World Autism Awareness Day, sharing how the the sweet kid changed his perspective on fatherhood.

The Valley star Jax Taylor recently shared an update about his son, Cruz Michael Cauchi. It came on World Autism Awareness Day. Naturally, as the little boy is so cute, many Bravo fans liked it. Read on to see some photos and how autism changed the perspective of his dad.
World Autism Awareness Day
One thing that The Valley fans know, is that Jax Taylor always wanted a son. Well, he and Brittany Cartwright welcomed Cruz and for a while it all seemed golden. However, their marriage ran into problems and nowadays, they share custody of their child. Still, he seems to have maintained a strong relationship with Cruz despite the toxic nature of his relationship with Brittany.
On Thursday, Jax took to his Instagram and posted up three pics of Cruz. In one of them, he embraced his boy as if giving comfort.

Another showed Cruz looking alert and full of fun. And on the final one, he sat on top of his dad’s shoulders. Overall, it seemed that Jax is deeply devoted to his son.
A Different Type Of Love
In his caption, Jax admitted that Cruz changed the way he looks at the world. He wrote:
Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙
Cruzy has changed the way I see the world… with more patience, more understanding and a deeper love than I ever knew I had in me. He reminds me every day what really matters. Proud to be his dad today and every day.
The First Diagnosis
Fans of The Valley can still recall when Brittany and Jax noticed changes in their son. Until then, both parents previously mentioned how Cruz met every milestone. The cutest kid, he seemed just perfect. And, he never seemed troubled by his parents clashing. But one day, they revealed that Cruz suddenly went silent.
Obviously, from a chattering kid to a silent one made them anxious. However, doctors revealed that he became autistic in a non-verbal way. And that obviously took some adjustment by the family.
Viewers React
Most Bravo fans seemed happy about the post, but a few people thought he should share about it more often. One of them said, “I really wish you would use your platform to speak your truth about what happened to him.” But others disagreed, noting that he shouldn’t do that if he’s not comfortable with it.
Here are a few other responses from the discussion:
- God Bless your son always! He is going to do amazing things!
- Yay!!!! What a beautiful post!!!! Congratulations on having a beautiful boy who can show you things you never thought possible.
- Looks like you’re doing much better and on a road to recovery and health. We miss you on the Valley… you’re still the #1 guy in the group.
- Him and Brittany both have said on the show how he was perfect, meeting every milestone, talking, everything normal, then suddenly went silent. It’s so sad.
