Kanye West Threatens Kim Kardashian Over Home Alone North West – True Or False?
Kanye West seemed quite upset, and he reportedly took legal action by sending a cease and desist letter to his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Allegedly, he claimed that during the Met Gala, Kim left North West home alone. However, is the story real? Or, is someone hoaxing the star-studded former couple?
The Story Of Home Alone
TMZ broke the news about an alleged letter from a lawyer because Kim violated their custody agreement. Soon, other outlets picked it up, and on May 9, @hollywoodunlocked shared the story on Instagram.

In part, the outlet shared that “Ye’s team is accusing Kim of violating their custody agreement. And the biggest issue? Reports claiming she left their daughter, North West, alone during this year’s star-studded Met Gala in New York.”
That’s a serious allegation, and it seems a bit shocking. However, few people were inclined to believe the story because, well, Kanye West can be out there. Judging by reactions, hardly anyone believed the allegation by Kim Kardashian’s ex.
Fans Reacted To The News
Reactions were squarely on the side of Kim, mainly because the chance of North being alone seemed a bit far-fetched. One of them noted in the comments section, “He just trying to deflect attention off himself I know damn well she wasn’t left alone they’re never alone.”
Here are a few more reactions:
- North be in the hotel room with the glam team and assistants watching and judging looks [on] tv.”
- All them ppl Kim have working for her?!?! I doubt if North was alone.
- Nonsense! I wish he would “cease and desist” and go get some psychological help.
- Kim has 1000 people around her and her family every single day. I promise you North is just fine.
Was The Letter About North Real?
There was a follow-up story by TMZ, and it appears that there was, indeed, a letter of some kind. However, it seems that the letter wasn’t from a lawyer who represented Kanye West and is probably a hoax.
The outlet noted on May 9 that the lawyer named Kathy Johnson doesn’t live or work in the place where she supposedly represents Ye. Following up, the outlet spoke with a source.
They wrote, “A source with direct knowledge tells us Kim’s camp is treating the purported letter as a stunt, and we’re told [Kim’s lawyer] Wasser hasn’t received it.” Additionally, checking it out with Kanye’s people, “they tell us the letter is a ‘hoax,’ and Ye had nothing to do with it.”
