General Hospital

A silver lining for fans of the late General Hospital’s (GH) Johnny Wactor. While there were four men directly and indirectly involved in the actor’s death, two of them were charged with murder, and the other two have been given a prison sentence for their involvement in the incident.

More details below.

GH’s Johnny Wactor – The Situation Involving His Death

Wactor was shot and killed in May of last year when the former GH actor was walking to his car in L.A. after a bartending shift at a local bar.

Three men were trying to steal Wactor’s catalytic converter at approximately 3:25 am when he stumbled upon them and was shot.

According to Deadline, two of the men involved in connection with Wactor’s untimely passing have been sentenced. One of the men who wasn’t present during Wactor’s murder has been charged with being an accessory after the fact and receiving stolen property.

He was also charged with three possessions of a firearm by a felon. The criminal, Frank Olano, pled no contest back in October and was given a prison sentence of five years and eight months.

Meanwhile, the other man, Leonel Gutierrez, was given a four-year prison sentence after he pleaded guilty last September to one count of grand theft and attempted robbery.

Meanwhile, the two other men directly involved with Wactor’s murder, Sergio Estrada and Robert Barceleau (both 18 years of age) are slated to return to court this coming January 22.

A judge recently determined there was sufficient evidence to send the other two men to trial for Wactor’s murder. Both men plead not guilty.

They face charges of murder, second-degree robbery charges, and one count of grand theft involving the alleged removal of a catalytic converter from another car close to where Wactor was killed.

In addition, both face new allegations filed last month claiming the crimes that unraveled benefited a criminal street gang.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with Johnny Wactor’s family, friends, loved ones, and fans. Here’s hoping that justice is served in this case. Comment below and continue to visit CBL often for the best news and updates in the land of daytime drama.
