General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Kirsten Storms, (Maxie Jones) over the last few years, she has experienced quite a journey filled with numerous challenges.
Recently, she took to social media to connect with her fans, taking the time to respond to their comments and in doing so, she also made a heartfelt appeal to her followers.
Kirsten Storms Took Over The Role Of Maxie In 2005
Storms has enjoyed a successful acting career, but one of her most notable roles is that of Maxie Jones on General Hospital, which she began portraying in 2005.
The following year, she was elevated to a full-time series regular. Over the years, Storms has taken on various roles, including that of Isabella “Belle” Black on Days of Our Lives from 1999 to 2004.
More recently, Storms made the decision to leave Los Angeles in the summer of 2025, moving to Nashville, Tennessee, with her daughter.
She wrapped up her final scenes in Port Charles in June of last year before officially announcing her departure from the soap.
Kirsten Shared Updates About Her Relocation And Life
In a recent Instagram post, Storms opened up about her move and justified her decision to leave California.
She stated, “Even with everything happening in my life right now (and to be honest, it’s quite distressing) – I genuinely believe that relocating to Tennessee was the right decision for me.” The post hinted at the challenges Storms has faced in recent months.
In April, it was reported that her ex, Brandon Barash, had sought a restraining order against her, which a judge had granted as an emergency measure. Additionally, she has battled various health issues over the years, including a brain aneurysm.

Kirsten Has Made A Significant Realization
Storms shared, “I may not have reached the *best part* of this decision yet, but Los Angeles has never truly felt like home to me.
I am thankful and incredibly proud of the milestones I’ve reached throughout my acting journey, even though my career began before I finished elementary school.” She reflected on feeling a bit envious of those who experience the “real world.”
While she emphasized that she didn’t intend to sound ungrateful or disrespectful towards her career, she admitted, “it seemed like life was the ONLY thing I knew how to do. Or believed I was capable of doing;” nevertheless, she noted that this perspective shifted with the arrival of her daughter, Harper.
Kirsten Didn’t Want To Talk About Her Health But She Implied She Was Ok
During this journey, she revealed a vibrant and intriguing new appearance that enchanted her followers. Storms chose not to delve into her health issues and confessed there was “an ongoing situation with Brandon” that was being addressed.
In the end, she kept a hopeful outlook, requesting that “the speculation on this issue please stop.” Nevertheless, Storms concluded her extensive post by addressing the obvious topic: her new hairstyle, which she displayed in a picture.
As she mentioned, “Also, yes, I have black hair and bangs. I’m kinda dig.”
