Panic Spreads As Fans Predict the End of Favorite Disney Cartoon Bluey
For some people, living without new episodes of Bluey is a world that’s a little less happy. The pup animated series have managed to capture the hearts of fans from around the world. So let’s just say fans didn’t expect season 3 finale to become series finale.
But then a surprise episode, aptly named “The Surprise,” dropped. So there’s a lot to be hopeful for, because, maybe, Bluey’s journey is not yet over.
Why Fans Think Bluey’s Story Has Ended With Season 3 Finale
I think Bluey’s fans had a lot to be surprised at these past few days. One, the season 3 finale episode was 28 minutes long, way longer than any Bluey episode so far.
But perhaps it was the emotional moments that truly took the breath of fans away. Last we saw Bluey in “The Sign,” she was all grown up and visiting her mom Bandit and her dad Chilli (still in their lovely little house on the hill – no they didn’t sell) with – guess what? – her own little pup, who seems to have taken after her antics. Fans still can’t lock down on who the father is. But they agree it’s split between Mackenzie and Jean Luc.
Fans also couldn’t hold in their observations, with one writing on X, “For a show that isn’t ending, the last two eps sure FELT like a series finale + epilogue.”
UK Newspaper The Times even printed the headline, “Is this the end of Bluey? Parents alarmed by sale of cartoon house.”
Emmy Nominated Children’s Cartoon Bluey Surprises Fans With Latest Stunt
Happily (drumroll please), and even more surprisingly, there was one more episode in store for us.
On Sunday morning Australian time, fans woke up to a new episode titled “The Surprise.” It showed Bluey’s next fun adventure as she and her sister Bingo made their dad play two different games with them. It was so top secret, the ABC listed it as a rerun of an old episode in television guides.
“Bluey’s hallmark charm is that it is always surprising, and we love to do things differently to keep the fans thinking,” Libbie Doherty, head of children and family at the ABC, said. “Our intention was for the fans to wake up to their usual ABC Kids Sunday 8am slot and be blown away by a brand-new episode.”
But is it really the end for the second most watched show in the US last year? Bluey producer Sam Moor says no.
“No, it is not the end for Bluey. I’m sure we have many more surprises in store for you,” she told the BBC’s Today programme. “We have more in store and we are thinking what would be next.”
