‘The View’ Shake-Up: Is ABC Secretly Searching for Alyssa Farah Griffin’s Replacement?

The View’s co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin’s announcement of her pregnancy, which she had been waiting to announce for years, was a source of immense joy on this week’s broadcast.

On a recent broadcast of the daytime talk show, the 36-year-old media personality broke the happy news, after a protracted and excruciating reproductive journey.

The big reveal came with a touch of humor and nostalgia. After producers replayed an old clip of Whoopi Goldberg awkwardly asking Alyssa if she was expecting, the now-beaming mom-to-be playfully rubbed her baby bump and said, “Ask me again.”

That’s when the studio erupted. Her co-hosts — including her rumored on-air rival Ana Navarro — jumped from their seats to celebrate with her in a moment that quickly went viral among fans of the show.

“IVF Was an Emotional Roller Coaster”

After the live announcement, Alyssa, who married Justin Griffin in 2021, talked candidly with PEOPLE magazine about how difficult becoming a mother was for her.

She disclosed that it took five IVF cycles before she finally got the positive news she had been looking for.

“IVF, it was an emotional roller coaster. My first round wasn’t bad but I got over-confident and started my second right away, and let me tell you, it’s unlike anything I’ve experienced,” she told the outlet.

Notwithstanding the difficulties, Alyssa conveyed her sincere appreciation for the help she got from her family and her job.

She acknowledged that she was able to attend early-morning doctor’s appointments during the procedure because of The View’s accommodating schedule. With a baby boy due in February 2026, the couple is now happily getting ready to welcome him into the world.

Adjusting to Life Beyond the City

In 2024, after years of residing in Manhattan, the Griffins relocated to Bronxville, New York, a quiet town around an hour outside of the city.

Alyssa claimed that although the move has already allowed them to live at a slower pace, it may become difficult to commute to the The View studio after the baby is born.

Online fans have already started making assumptions about how the show will handle her impending maternity break.

Some people think the show will keep having guest hosts who come and go, like it did during Meghan McCain’s pregnancy, while others are urging new people to step in for a while.

“I’m hoping for some fun guest hosts again,” one viewer wrote. Another added, “I would like to see Amy Holmes as the conservative.”

Others even suggested, “Petition to bring back Meghan,” while one fan predicted, “We’ll probably get a lot of Rachel Lindsay, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Abby Huntsman when Ana can’t be there.” Whether those guest appearances will turn into something more permanent remains to be seen.

From the White House to The View

Before joining the ABC talk show, Alyssa Farah Griffin built an impressive career in Washington, D.C. She served in President Donald Trump’s administration as part of the White House communications team from 2017 until her resignation in 2019.

In 2022, she made her debut as a permanent co-host on The View, bringing political insight and sharp commentary to the panel.

However, the show itself has been surrounded by ongoing rumors of possible shake-ups and cancellations — a topic that has kept fans debating online. Some viewers have even suggested that an entirely new panel might be the key to reviving the long-running talk show.

A New Chapter Begins

For Alyssa Farah Griffin, though, the only thing that matters right now is the life growing inside her. After years of struggle and uncertainty, she’s finally stepping into motherhood — and doing it in front of millions of supportive fans.

With a baby boy on the way and a new chapter unfolding both at home and on The View, it’s clear that the next season of Alyssa’s life will be her most meaningful yet.
