Teen Mom – Why Did Barbara Not Help Jace Evans When He Ran Away?
Teen Mom fans heard that Jace Evans ran away from “The Land” three times. The third time, he contacted his grandmother, but she allegedly didn’t assist him. Why not? It isn’t safe for a young teenager to be out missing in the area where he lives. Read on to find out why the woman who raised him felt reluctance to get involved.
Teen Mom: Jace Evans Was Allegedly Hospitalized
Jenelle Evans, from MTV, made an announcement that she wanted privacy after her son, Jace, had run away from home after getting in trouble at school. Fans know that Jace had been in the custody of his maternal grandmother, Barbara, for years. However, she reportedly struggled with him when he hit his teen years and surrendered him back to Jenelle. The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina initially released a public statement via Facebook, announcing that the teenager had run away. Fortunately, Jace was safely located and returned to Jenelle’s care.
Most of the information since then has come via sources from various media outlets. Notably, sources that are anonymous can’t be taken as being 100 percent accurate. So, it’s not clear why the boy from Teen Mom ran away a second time. Naturally, MTV fans assumed that his mom and her husband, David were fighting again. But then, he ran away a third time, and initially, it seemed that he was okay and returned home once again. However, the story soon changed, and reportedly, he ended up hospitalized.
Teen Mom Fans Heard Allegations About David Eason
More news from The Sun and from The Ashleys Reality Roundup suggested that Jace claimed he ran away the third time after David assaulted him. On Facebook, Eason denied any of the claims were true. As reports came that CPS took Jace into their care, he focused on denying that. However, what is interesting, is that the only named source, Barabara, claimed she didn’t help Jace when he called her. Why not?
According to a report by The Ashleys, when the Teen Mom alum reported the third time her son ran away, she told the police that she suspected her mom secretly had Jace Evans. However, follow-ups revealed that he wasn’t there. The outlet wrote, “Barbara told police that she would call them if she heard from Jace again. He was found on Friday and taken to the hospital.” Apparently, he had called her, but she didn’t help him.
Custody Issues Prevented Barbara From Helping Jace
Runaway boy, Jace apparently called his grandmother and asked her to “pick” him up. However, she feared being charged with kidnapping if she did that. That’s because of “ongoing legal and custody issues.”
