General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) nanny replacement for Pilar Rodriguez (Brenda Barberena) may not be who’s expected. “Betty Rutherford” sounds like a pretty tame name, but might Mason’s replacement nanny really be Heather Webber (Alley Mills) possibly in a disguise?
General Hospital Spoilers: Mason Gatlin Has “Family Ties”
Mason has “family ties” and undoubtedly those ties extend inside prisons, much as Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) did-even before Cyrus was incarcerated. Mason’s boss has never been revealed, but it’s been said she’s a woman, and theorized to be Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) who’s currently in Pentonville per Cyrus. But previously she was in D’Archam Prison, where Heather is now, and perhaps she still has some strings to pull there-Cyrus seems to think she’s got lots of power in Pentonville.
Olivia may have been the one who pointed the “Hook” to the snake venom that was used in all but the first attack-on Ava Jerome (Maura West) and one other. There was some disagreement if Heather only killed as a copycat but she knew where to get the poison, and it wasn’t used on Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) either.
GH Spoilers: Heather Webber Worked As A Nanny
Heather worked as a nanny many years ago, she nannied her own son Steve Webber (Scott Reeves) as a child. And if Mason’s boss is Olivia, it’s not a stretch to think that Olivia and Heather knew and worked with each other in D’Archam. But Heather will have to be in a disguise so no one will recognize her, since both Ava and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) know her.
But disguises are no problem whatsoever for Heather-disguises are her stock and trade, from disguising herself as a nurse to disguising herself as the Hook! Mason will get Heather everything she needs to pull off being “Betty Rutherford” including smuggling her out of D’Archam and fake IDs.
General Hospital Spoilers: Avery Jerome-Corinthos Doesn’t Know Heather Webber
Even though Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) has solved a mystery or two in her young life, she doesn’t know Heather and won’t recognize her. Heather isn’t dangerous with children, she just tends to put hers up for adoption and then want them back when they’re past diaper stage. But Mason’s main reason for replacing Pilar with Heather is to use Heather as a spy, and to break into Sonny’s home office in order to retrieve information on Pikeman.
However, Mason may not realize a lot about Heather that may have made him pick a different nanny. His decision could easily backfire if he crosses her-including on himself!
