Counting On might have been canceled by TLC, but that doesn’t stop fans from following the vast family of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, so there was happiness when Jed and Katey announced their second baby had arrived. The first photos arrived on social media and without waiting for too long, so did Katey’s birth story.

When Katey and Jed Duggar welcomed their first baby in May 2022, TLC fans were excited and happy because their first child, Truet seemed so adorable. Well, in typical Duggar tradition, their faithful followers didn’t need to wait long for another baby announcement. In December 2022, the announcement that baby number two was the way got the interest of their fans again. Plenty of people wondered exactly how many grandkids Jed’s dad Jim Bob Duggar had. At the time, there was some confusion. For many people, the fact that there were about 30, didn’t surprise anyone. After all, Michelle, Jed’s mom spent most of her life being pregnant.
Counting On fans who follow the births in the family recently saw that Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth welcomed their third child. She posted up her birth video and many people liked that it seemed like a beautiful moment when Gunner arrived. Well, that means that the family has two newborns at the moment and the Duggar family loves to celebrate new grandchildren. But this week, all eyes were on Jed and Katey who welcomed a little girl named Nora Kate.
Counting On Jed and Katey Duggar’s Baby Is Safe & Healthy
Despite the current docuseries by Amazon, which paints the family in a poor light, people went to Instagram and YouTube to congratulate the couple. When the baby arrived, Jed said on YouTube “She’s here! And we’re so in love.” Later, when they posted their first Instagram photo, the caption said, “She’s here! And we’re so in love. Welcome to the world, sweet girl.” Actually, it seems a bit sad for fans to know that the announcement came on the same day as the premiere of Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Perhaps Jed will always remember the day the sensational investigative show dropped.
If you don’t know, Jed seems to be upset that so much is tarnishing the conservative Christian upbringing that the Counting On alum experienced. In fact, he responded harshly to a critic on social media who slapped at the family for raising the children under the tenets of Bill Gothard’s Institute in Basic Life Principles, (IBLP.) From their perspective, one can only imagine that they see the docuseries as an attack on Christian values.
Die-Hard Fans Congratulate The Family Of Four
Counting On fans took to the comments on Instagram, and gushed about the new babe. In the photos, Nora Kate Duggar was all swaddled up in a lovely blanket with her name on it. One fan wrote, “Beautiful name; my 17 year old is Norah Kate 💕. Congrats!!”
Lots of people sent in their love for them. And, folks seemed to be charmed by the little girl. A follower wrote, “Oh my look at Nora Kate sweet little face.”
