Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth from Counting On announced the birth of their third child on social media. In a video, Joy-Anna shared the news but did not reveal any images of the baby. However, she did promise that she would share her birth story soon. Although more photos came on other platforms, it was only now that she popped up the full video of the arrival of Gunner James.

A new baby can be really exhausting, and Joy does a good job with her videos. So, TLC fans probably appreciate why she kept them waiting. Some people objected to the name that she chose for her third child. Many of them felt that it was wrong because the name Gunner made them think about weapons that take lives. However, most people think that Joy’s second son looks way too adorable. Plus, they know that he will be loved and cared for.
When the Counting On couple announced that Gunner had arrived, TLC fans found out very little about the circumstances of his birth like his weight and length. But, she kept most of that for her birth story vlog. While some folks can’t understand quite why it seems important to share birth stories, there are many people who like to see them. Nearly 200K people went long and watched it. Those who did, described it as a beautiful moment when the baby arrived. Actually, the kids, Gideon and Evelyn were excited to meet the baby.

The kids were not there for the actual birth, but they got to meet their baby brother the next day. They were all packed up and ready to go and Joy told her fans that the next day, her mom would be along for the delivery as well. Sweetly, Austin took along the things they needed. Counting On alum Jill was also on her way. It was rather intimate as she described her dilations. They also talked about how much their baby might weigh when he arrives.
During the hours of labor, Austin tried to nap a bit, but she said the contractions were not too bad. She and her husband took a walk around the hallways to get the baby moving. But it gave her time to chat with kids via video call. Eventually, she showed where she was pushing the last few miles to delivery. Joy started crying when they placed the baby in her arms. Whether from relief that the ordeal was over or not wasn’t clear. Probably, it was just the joy of knowing that her son was okay.
