General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that the desperate danger Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) get into could be Sonny’s planned loyalty test. After Dex was worried Sonny was onto him because he didn’t let him into a meeting at Pozzulo’s, he still wanted him to come with him to check out the warehouse.
General Hospital Spoilers – Ambushed?
Sonny takes Dex into the warehouse where the planned Pikeman exchange is supposed to happen, only for Dex to spot a sniper out of the corner of his eye. As the gunman takes aim at Sonny, Dex pushes him onto the floor and out of the bullet’s path, and then says they have to get out. The longer they’re there, the worse their chances, and the longer they’re sitting ducks.
Considering he didn’t want Dex in that meeting, could it be because he and his henchman were setting up this ambush? He might have wanted to stage a situation that would prove if Dex has the same stuff Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) did with boundaries, the sniper may have had only empty casings.
General Hospital Updates – Jason Morgan Would Have Taken The Sniper On
Now, if this had been Jason, he probably would have taken the sniper on, but there’s no indication Dex had a gun on him. The one he used to shoot Heather Webber (Alley Mills) in the wrist at the dock was one Sonny gave him, and he ditched it. He didn’t want to be tied to the scene, and mainly because he was saving Josslyn Jacks, (Eden McCoy) who he wasn’t supposed to be around. Still, if this was a staged ambush, Sonny may not have wanted to test Dex’s shooting skills but his loyalty. Sonny actually winds up saving Dex after Dex saves him so there’s a good possibility this wasn’t Sonny’s setup.
Sonny Corinthos Will Be Impressed
Dex stayed cool under fire, and Sonny will be impressed-whether this was a test set up by Sonny or otherwise, and his loyalty to Sonny shouldn’t be questioned. There are not many men who would be loyal to a boss who hung them in a freezer on a meat hook with a thug with knives taunting him! Dex has certainly more than proven his loyalty to Sonny as well as his coolness under pressure, and that was some extreme pressure.
Sonny should know now he can trust Dex with his life, even though Dex is now in a conundrum-he’s getting attached to Sonny while working for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). On top of everything else, he’s fallen in love with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) who will be sure to confront him once she finds out about this incident!
