The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Devon And Tucker Buyout, Lily’s Brother Betrayal?
The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) could team up for a corporate buyout of Chancellor-Winters. That could leave Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) out in the cold business-wise, and now she’d feel betrayed not only by her cousin Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) but her adoptive brother Devon.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tucker McCall’s Plan
Tucker will talk to his spy, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about his plan for only himself and his son to run his late mother, Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) company. He’ll tell Audra to make it happen, but Audra also will have warned Lily not to trust anyone, with her saying she trusts Devon. Whether Audra tells Lily this because she’s trying to engender her trust in herself or because she’s sympathetic to another woman in business, who knows?
But the fact that Devon and Lily’s strong brother-sister bond has been focused on so much lately could be a sign that the bond may not be as strong as originally believed.
The Young And The Restless Updates – Painful Family Betrayal
Lily didn’t show it in the meeting where Nate confessed his betrayal of giving insider information about the Chancellor-Winters upcoming IPO to an anonymous CEO but she was hurt. Nothing hurts worse than the betrayal by someone in your own family, and Nate and Lily are cousins by blood, although her relationship with adoptive brother Devon is even closer. She never dreamed that Nate would betray them and she can’t help but be affected by the ever-present rivalry between Nate and Devon. There has been some discussion about giving up on the company’s stock going public and on the stock market, which is what an IPO or initial public offering means. However, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) still thinks the going public is a smart move and will make the company more prosperous than keeping it privately owned.
Is Brother Betrayal Imminent?
If the IPO goes through like Jill wants it to, it will be vulnerable to corporate takeovers, meaning outsiders buying up a majority of their stock. Right now Devon is upset over Nate’s shifty moves, having fired him over it, and maybe resentful of Lily’s pushing him into situations that always seem to backfire. This might leave him vulnerable to Tucker’s manipulations, although he and his birth father running the company together might sound attractive, Tucker convinces him to merge their stocks together.
Tucker could slide into Lily’s CEO spot this way leaving her without a job while Devon still has his. Audra will have reminded Lily to remember that money and power can make peoples’ true selves come out which may be different than she perceives.
