The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will talk about some of Devon’s family issues and bond. But Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) happens to walk in as Abby puts a hand on Devon’s shoulder and misconstrues her comforting gesture, will he become suspicious?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Heart To Heart Talk
Abby and Devon are longtime friends, but while she’s waiting for Chance at the Glam Club, they have a heart-to-heart talk that takes their bond to a higher level. They hang out together and Devon opens up to her, and they talk about the trouble between him and his cousin Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Nate had not only acted as a corporate spy regarding Chancellor-Winters’ recent IPO plans, but he accused him of being too tied to Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) vision.
That, of course, did not sit at all well with Devon, but Abby, attempting to be the neutral party asks him if there could be any truth to the allegation. Devon does take Abby’s question to heart and it spurs him to take a deeper look at his treatment of his cousin.
The Young and The Restless Updates – Maybe He Doesn’t Want To Share Legacy
Devon does consider that perhaps he doesn’t want to share Neil’s legacy, since he had always been supportive of him when they had their partnership. However, he comes to the conclusion and shares it with Abby that he was justified in firing Nate from Chancellor-Winters, it was because of his actions, not because of their relationship. Trust is very important to Devon, and he feels it is an egregious thing for a member of the family to sabotage the family business. Devon’s emotions come through loud and clear that what Nate did also hurt Devon, and not just angered him. Abby reaches over and puts a comforting hand on his shoulder, just as Chance walks in and sees it.
Chance Chancellor Misconstrues
Chance misconstrues Abby’s actions towards Devon even though he knows that they are close friends, but he wonders if maybe they are getting too close. The honeymoon has started to wind down for Chance and Abby, with him feeling more and more distance between the two of them. Chance, always having been a straight-up law and order guy was deeply affected when he was forced to go along with the cover-up of Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death.
That seems to have affected his marital relationship as well, finding when you’re married to a Newman you follow the orders. Now the latest tussle has been over his being open-minded about Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and his perception may be clouded, causing him to be suspicious of Abby.
