Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease in Soap Opera Digest Early Editions that Clyde Weston (James Read) will propose marriage to Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo). The big questions are, will they make it to the altar, and will Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) accept him?
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Nancy Wesley’s Second Chance
Nancy, now going by her maiden name of Nancy Miller, has been thrilled at having a second chance at love after her painful divorce from Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas). Clyde and Nancy have been put through their paces after the murder of Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) with Clyde fencing stolen jewelry and giving a bracelet of Abigail’s to Nancy. But they made it through that bump in the road intact, and wound up giving the police an important lead in their search for Abby’s murderer.
Now that the trouble related to that is over, and they’ve made it through intact as a couple, Clyde proposes marriage. Nancy happily accepts but wonders if Chloe will accept Clyde.
Days Of Our Lives Updates – Are Ex-Criminals Ever Really “Ex?”
Chloe has been wary of Clyde, having the opinion that ex-criminals are probably never really “ex” and the pardon of Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is probably on her mind. Kristen has been nothing if not trouble with a capital T and Chloe simply does not trust anyone with a criminal record. The fencing of the bracelet and giving it to her mother didn’t engender any trust in Clyde, and being the father of a serial killer didn’t help either. She allowed for that perhaps in Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) case mental illness did play a part, as it did in Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant). Both of them are gone from Salem now and not her concern but she still doesn’t trust Clyde.
There Could Be Other Problems
With Clyde’s, once criminal buddy Orpheus (George DelHoyo) also involved in that governor’s pardon, Clyde hopes he’ll steer clear. Clyde has made it clear he’s on the straight and narrow, and he won’t even trust buying from a pawn shop anymore. He is determined to stay on his path of redemption, and thanks Nancy for being his encouragement.
In spite of possible opposition from Chloe, and Clyde had no family left in town to attend, they go forward with planning a wedding. Hopefully, unlike the case with so many weddings in Salem, they’ll make it to the altar with no problems in spite of not having many guests.
